some money and know that you're going to

time like you know i didn't have a lot
of money as
driving cab and i was trying to get
affiliate market popping every time i
kept seeing losses it was like really
stressing me out but
once you hit a win and you start seeing
that money flow in then you're kind of
like okay i get it this works
it takes almost like a gambler's mindset
to get good at affiliate marketing
because you need to be able to like go
into those losses
and understand mentally that you're
going to get yourself out of that
every time you see a loss your brain is
trying to check you saying hey step out
step out you're hitting your wrist
tolerance once you start getting some
wins under your belt or and you trust
the process the money will come
so have a risk tolerance set aside money
and get mentally prepared that
you will lose some money in the in the
learning phase just as much as you spend
to learn
um it will all come back just as soon as
you hit a winning campaign number two
pick a source and uh and pick a an offer
type
and stick to that until you can have
profitability if you push a certain type
of offer
there's little nuances that you need to
know about the psychology of who's
going into that offer why they sign up
for these kind of things
and so you know it's very different if
you promote casino and then you go to
dating and then you go to finance
you don't or car insurance or whatever
if you don't learn each of the nuances
you'll just find yourself constantly
bumping around and you won't be able to
hit roi on any particular campaign
number three i would say is like when
you find a winning campaign
don't get complacent don't be like oh
man life is good
everything's good i'm not gonna work
hard if you hit a winning campaign
you need to sleep by your desk work 16
hours a day
milk that thing for what it's worth and
and take that money in the bank
and set yourself up for the next round
of testing in the next campaign because
in affiliate marketing it is very often
if ever
it's never consistent so you know when
you have a whale on your hand or a
winning campaign
you need to live breathe and die by that
campaign and milk it for what it's worth
and then once you got that money in the
bank then you know you can ease up a
little bit but don't
ever like let opportunity run away from
you because you know if you make 10
grand and then you're chilling and you
don't
go hard at it that 10 grand could have
been 100 grand or 200 grand so
you're really shooting yourself in the
foot if you've got a fish on the hook
man you got to make the most of it
what i do is i look at the fundamentals
of why my competitor is doing well
and then i add my own flavor my own
twist my own copy my own angle
and i just look at the marketing
psychology of why is this working for
somebody and then reverse engineer that
you know my own funnel the last thing
i'll say guys is when you're new you've
got to kind of cut your teeth and
run through networks and and run a
certain way
but as soon as you can and i wish that
somebody had taught me this earlier is
you got to find an edge
and that edge is often relationships
with advertisers relationship with
networks
but also the second part of that is
finding an edge by being creative and
unique
and not just trying to rip everybody
like you're gonna have a tough time
getting profitable and scalable when
you're all you're doing is just
copycatting everybody else
what you'll learn as you get into the
affiliate game is like the more and more
traffic you run you always need an edge
the mistakes i made in the early days
was just thinking that i could copycat
somebody's campaign and make a bunch of
money
um sometimes you do like i'm not gonna
lie like you know you sometimes rip a
campaign and
it's pretty fresh and it does work but
what you'll find is anything that's like
already kind of hit the spy tools or
been out for a minute it's not going to
give you good roi
