Post Affiliate Pro Product Updates: Q3 2026

ProductUpdates PostAffiliatePro MCP SSO

Welcome to our Q3 2026 product update roundup for Post Affiliate Pro. This quarter introduces three major additions: MCP connectivity for external AI assistants, Google Single Sign-On, and automatically managed Let’s Encrypt certificates. Together, they offer new ways to work with your affiliate program, access your account, and simplify custom-domain security. We’ve also strengthened platform protection, expanded our Shopify and Ecwid integrations, enhanced REST API v3, and improved everyday account management.

Read on to learn about everything we’ve added and improved in Q3 2026.

MCP server: Connect your preferred AI assistant

Bring affiliate program data into your AI workflow while keeping control over access. AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT can now connect to Post Affiliate Pro through the new Tools > Integration > AI assistants (MCP) screen.

  • Broad tool coverage – Work with affiliates, commissions, campaigns, banners, clicks, traffic reports, and top affiliates reports. Tools also support refunds and chargebacks.
  • Order diagnosis – Investigate why an order did not create a commission.
  • Controlled permissions – Connect through OAuth using your merchant login and choose read-only or read and write access.
  • Flexible connections – Bearer tokens are available for tools without OAuth, and connected assistants can be revoked at any time.

Google Single Sign-On: A simpler way to log in

Give merchants and affiliates a convenient alternative to their standard login. Both can now sign in using their Google account. The feature matches the Google account to an existing Post Affiliate Pro account by email address.

Google sign-in is automatically active for the merchant login on newly created accounts. Existing accounts need to activate the SSO feature first in the list of available features.

Managed Let’s Encrypt certificates: Less maintenance for custom domains

Keep your hosted account’s custom domain secured with HTTPS without manually managing certificate renewals. Hosted accounts can now choose a managed Let’s Encrypt certificate instead of uploading their own. Certificate issuance and renewal are handled automatically, reducing ongoing maintenance.

The redesigned Domain settings screen also makes setup clearer. Its new Set custom domain dialog starts with the certificate type, helping you select the right option before continuing.

Themes: Cleaner signup pages and clearer customization

Make affiliate registration more welcoming and theme maintenance easier to review.

  • New Trace signup theme – This minimal signup minisite supports light and dark color schemes following the visitor’s system preference, full white-labeling with your program logo and name, and right-to-left languages.
  • Visible customizations – Modified theme files display a Modified badge and save date. Use Show only modified to find your changes quickly.
  • Safer reviews and reversions – Compare customized files side by side with the shipped theme version. Before reverting, see the exact lines that would be lost.

Affiliate management: More control with fewer manual steps

Simplify document collection, campaign presentation, and communication with your affiliate network.

  • Campaign display names – Optional affiliate-facing names appear across grids, reports, banners, coupons, tracking codes, and emails. Merchants retain internal names, with an optional Display name column and filter. The alias is also available through REST API v3.

  • Bulk file downloads – Download files uploaded through file uploader fields for selected affiliates as one ZIP archive. Large downloads run in the background with a progress dialog and optional completion email.
  • Parent affiliate notifications – Notify parent affiliates when a sub-affiliate receives an inactivity warning or an inactivity action is applied. Both options are available under Configuration > Affiliates activity check.
  • Payout data in webhooks – The Affiliate Profile Change Webhook plugin can monitor and send payout method, minimum payout, and payout fields such as bank account or PayPal email. Signup Application Callbacks support the same fields as variables, while event logs mask payout values.

Integration plugins: Shopify and Ecwid improvements

Keep attribution, recurring commissions, and order statuses better connected to your store.

  • Affiliate details in Shopify orders – An optional setting adds the credited affiliate’s username and name to order additional details, alongside the existing visitor ID and referrer URL.
  • Seal Subscriptions support – Track renewal orders as recurring commissions, complementing the existing ReCharge integration. Enable the feature in the Shopify plugin configuration using your Seal Subscriptions API key.
  • Multiple installations per Shopify store – The opt-in Isolate tracking script setting assigns a unique per-installation suffix, allowing multiple Post Affiliate Pro or Post Affiliate Network installations to track the same store.
  • ReCharge renewal attribution – When a renewal contains a changed product, the fallback commission now goes to the affiliate of the active recurring rule rather than the original sale.
  • Rebuilt Ecwid integration – Connect through Ecwid’s current API using the Store ID and secret token of a private app created in your Ecwid Control Panel. Multiple stores are supported through separate configuration tabs.
  • Optional Ecwid status automation – Automatically approve, refund, or decline commissions from order-status webhooks. This requires configuring the plugin’s webhook URL and the app’s client secret.

REST API v3: Richer reporting and more precise automation

Retrieve more useful data, refine searches, and handle commission adjustments with greater control.

  • Reporting flexibility – GET /traffic-overview and GET /affiliate/traffic-overview accept period_from and period_to for custom ranges. For active affiliate networks, GET /traffic-overview includes network_fee breakdowns in transactions and sales.
  • Consistent dates – Empty date and period parameters behave like absent ones. Without date parameters, GET /reports/top-affiliates defaults to the current month.
  • Transaction context – GET /transactions/{id} returns visitor_id. Both merchant and affiliate transaction lists support filtering by product_id.
  • Better searching – The q parameter supports >= and <=, and date-only ranges include the whole end day. New filters cover visitor_id, ip, approved_at, and starred for transactions; alias, is_default, account_id, and starred for campaigns; and is_confirmed, destination_url, and starred for banners.
  • Reliable type filters – Campaign type filtering and transaction types including refund, chargeback, and cpm now work as intended.
  • Partial reversals and notes – Refund and chargeback endpoints accept total_cost for partial reversals. Refund, chargeback, and status-change requests accept merchant-only system_note values. Notes submitted through PATCH /transactions/{id}/status are now stored.
  • Clearer refund documentation – Refund-by-order documentation explains how product_id and data1–data5 select the commissions to refund.
  • Consistent responses – starred is returned as a boolean, application.currency_decimals as an integer, and empty logo_url and product_ids as null. Banner details include campaign_name, affiliate details include every configured custom form field, and campaign rows omit duplicate campaignid and unused networkstatus.
  • Tracking settings – GET /settings exposes hashed alternative script names under tracking.scripts and configured URL parameter names under tracking.url_parameter_names. These cover affiliate, banner, and campaign IDs, data1, data2, and destination URL, allowing integrations to build tracking links without API v1.

Performance: Smoother daily operations

Spend less time waiting when preparing payouts or reviewing large click histories.

  • Faster payout lists – The Pay affiliates grid loads more quickly.
  • Large-scale click reporting – Filtering extensive click histories by affiliate, campaign, or date range no longer causes the previously encountered timeouts.
  • Controlled coupon processing – Coupon generation and import are limited to 1,000 coupons per operation to protect database performance. Larger batches can be split across operations.

Security: Stronger protection across the platform

More consistent validation and access checks help protect your account and its data.

  • Access control – Tighter permission checks protect merchant panel endpoints, while internal services have stronger privilege checks and data visibility rules.
  • Content sanitization – Improved input validation and output escaping strengthen both merchant and affiliate panels.
  • URL validation – Affiliate panel URLs receive stricter validation.
  • Username rules – Usernames may contain only letters, digits, and the characters _ . + @ -. Referral IDs derived from usernames follow the same rule.
  • Login hardening – Merchant, affiliate, and API logins have stronger protection against automated login attempts.
