Does Post Affiliate Pro Support REST API?
Learn about Post Affiliate Pro's REST API support, authentication methods, and how to integrate with API v3. Comprehensive technical guide for developers.

Start 2026 with the latest Post Affiliate Pro updates: REST API v3 (Beta), stronger currency validation, Dark Mode, and improved Keap and ccBill tracking.
Our final updates of 2025 set the stage for a stronger 2026. This product update focuses on making Post Affiliate Pro easier to integrate, more accurate in tracking, and safer to manage.
Below is a practical overview of the latest improvements and how they help you run a smoother affiliate program in the year ahead.
A new REST API foundation to help you build integrations faster, with clearer documentation and stronger access control.
We’re introducing REST API v3 (Beta), implemented with an OpenAPI 3.0 specification, token-based authentication, rate limiting, and improved error handling. Alongside this, merchants now have a new screen to create and manage API keys, define scopes, and set expiration, ensuring secure and organized access control.

Interactive documentation is available directly in your merchant panel under Tools > Integration > API v3 (REST API) > View API documentation, or via URL: https://YOUR_ACCOUNT_DOMAIN.postaffiliatepro.com/api/v3 .
You can manage your keys in the new API key management screen. If you need step-by-step instructions, this guide covers API keys in detail: https://support.qualityunit.com/512359-API-key .

Note: Because API v3 is still in Beta, we’re actively adding endpoints and filters and optimizing behavior; some details may still change before official release. We welcome your suggestions. Please share improvement ideas or report any issues to our support team.
Stronger validation that keeps the tracking of sales in different currencies in check when unexpected currency parameters appear.
Your tracking system will now stop processing sale transactions when it receives an unsupported or non-existent currency tracking parameter. Instead of silently converting it into the default system currency (which could skew reports and payouts), Post Affiliate Pro logs a critical event and triggers a visible notification in the merchant panel, so you can spot and address the source quickly.
An easier way to support multi-store or multi-domain promotions without theme customization.
You can now add multiple main site URLs to your system, and each URL is shown as a separate general affiliate link in the affiliate panel. This is especially useful for merchants managing multiple storefronts, country-specific domains, or brand sites within one program, because affiliates can immediately choose the correct “main link” for the offer they’re promoting.
Go to Configuration ⚙️ > Tracking settings and enter your additional URLs.

More flexible attribution rules so different affiliate relationships can be rewarded fairly.
We added an option to prevent cookie overwrites per affiliate, enabling first-click attribution for selected affiliates while keeping last-click attribution for everyone else. This was built in response to customer requests and is ideal when you want to protect the contribution of partners focused on discovery (content, influencers, early-funnel placements) without changing attribution logic across your entire program.
The new setting can be found in Configuration ⚙️ > Cookies.
A more comfortable interface that automatically adapts to your users’ light/dark preferences.
The latest Summer theme now supports automatic dark mode, switching between light and dark based on browser or device settings. This provides a consistent experience for users who prefer dark mode and improves readability in low-light environments. Currently, this feature is only supported in the most recent Summer theme; we may extend similar support to other themes where it makes sense.

Improved security for stored third-party credentials in plugin configuration screens.
Plugin configuration password fields no longer reveal saved passwords; only an indicator shows whether a value is present. You can still change or remove the stored password, but it can’t be viewed after saving. This reduces the risk of accidental exposure for credentials used in external services and integrations.
More dependable tracking for popular integrations, with updates that align plugins to real-world platform constraints.
Infusionsoft (now Keap) - The Infusionsoft integration plugin has been updated to use the latest Keap API, restoring full functionality with current endpoints and authentication. We have improved recurring commission handling: when a recurring notification lacks order details, the plugin now fetches data from the customer’s latest order to keep tracking consistent.
ccBill - For ccBill, we improved cookie tracking by implementing visitor ID tracking through ccBill’s custom variables (custom1–custom5). This resolves cases where cookies weren’t being loaded due to ccBill’s parameter naming restrictions, resulting in more reliable attribution.
Thank you for your continued loyalty. Many of these quarters’ improvements were driven directly by your feedback. We’ll keep refining REST API v3 (Beta) as we add endpoints and expand its functionality. We encourage you to send suggestions to our support team, so we can shape the official release to meet your exact requirements.
Interactive documentation is available directly in your merchant panel under Tools > Integration > API v3 (REST API) > View API documentation, or via URL: https://YOUR_ACCOUNT_DOMAIN.postaffiliatepro.com/api/v3.
Navigate to Configuration > Tracking settings and enter your additional URLs in the 'main site URL' field. Each URL will appear as a separate general affiliate link in the affiliate panel, allowing affiliates to choose the correct main link for their promotion.
It works automatically. The Summer theme detects your device or browser preference (Light vs. Dark mode) and adjusts the colors instantly. No manual toggle required.
Enable this to protect 'first-click' partners (like influencers or content creators). It ensures their initial referral isn't overwritten by a 'last-click' affiliate (like a coupon site) right before purchase.
Yes. The old Infusionsoft API was deprecated and no longer works. Customers need to reconnect their Infusionsoft(Keap) accounts with our new integration plugin from scratch.
No. The plugin update does not break existing connection or functionality.
